Fireman Bryce to the rescue..

Bryce is a big helper.. he helped us trim the Christmas tree today.. and then he help to rescue some kitty cats from the tree too!

Visiting the Fire Station

We visited the Fire Station near Gramma and Grampa's house this afternoon. Aidan and Bryce delivered a patch that Cousin Jimmy sent from his fire station up in Massachusetts, and the fire fighters let the boys climb around on the two big fire engines in the station.

The boys were both a little shy-- they declined invitations to wear real fire helmets and, as you'll see, they were a little reluctant to stand too close for a picture.. but they had a really memorable time and have been talking about it all day since we got home.

Some more of Bryce fighting fires.. he found that the vacuum cleaner hose works really well for putting out big fires.

With Jimmy's visit this weekend, Bryce has decided he wants to be a firefighter when he grows up!



We were all so glad to get a chance to visit with Jimmy and Judy for a few days and the boys had a ball playing with their new-found playmates!

Brave (and generous) souls that they are, Jimmy and Judy took the boys to the toy store to pick out their own birthday gifts...

Jimmy and I work to unpackage a couple of new Tonka trucks. Aidan picked out a Garbage truck with a working forklift and Bryce picked out (big surprise) a firetruck with a working ladder:
