Bryce's splint was replaced this afternoon after school with a real cast. Watch out! Now the boy can really pack a whallop!

The old annual Halloween shin-dig
The last couple of years, we've thrown a little Halloween party for the neighbors and their kids. This year, Aidan and Bryce are going as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Clone Commander Cody, respectively. So it's an all-Star Wars Halloween in our house.
The kids and parents all had a great time at the party.. we had some ghoulish punch, some good snacks, and a little Monster Mash Limbo and some Freeze Dances to help the kids burn off some of that sugar high!
And so keeping with the Star Wars theme in our house, the hosts went as Han Solo and Princess Leia.

put it on the board! First broken bone!
Bryce broke his wrist earlier tonight at a friends house, jumping on a trampoline. We took him to the walk-in Clinic down in Cool Springs (we're becoming big fans of that place!)-- the x-rayed him and splinted his arm. He'll get a regular cast on Monday. Looks like we'll have an injured Clone Trooper for Halloween

Lucy and Finn
Everyone welcome Lucille and Finnegan to the family. We're calling them Lucy and Finn. We brought them home a week or so ago. They're about 8 weeks old and bundle of energy! We'd totally forgotten what it was like to have kittens! They're so entertaining, playing and tumbling around together, we're thinking we may be able to cancel cable!
Finnegan is orange and we're guessing he's going to be a big one. His paws are LARGE. But he's got the softest, thickest fur.
Lucy is a black tuxedo with the cutest white paws and the LONGEST whiskers we've ever seen! And she's got such a great personality. She loves to cuddle-- and you better be ready for her when she wants to climb up into your lap: she's got claws and she's not afraid to use them!
